Brevard Sheriff’s Office, US Marshals Service Take Down Suspect for Trafficking in Fentanyl

Message from Sheriff Wayne Ivey

Last night, our GAMEOVER Task Force was on the move after receiving information from our great partners with the US Marshals Service, about an individual named Bailey Gildea, who had absconded from parole in Illinois and had another warrant for Aggravated Battery With A Deadly Weapon. (BCSO Image)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This is a Public Service Announcement for all of the criminals in the world…we don’t care where you’ve committed a crime, if you bring that nonsense to Brevard County, you’re gonna mess around and find out.

Last night, our GAMEOVER Task Force was on the move after receiving information from our great partners with the US Marshals Service, about an individual named Bailey Gildea, who had absconded from parole in Illinois and had another warrant for Aggravated Battery With A Deadly Weapon.

Clearly Gildea didn’t do his research before picking his hideout location, because if he did, he would know that in Brevard County, we are tough on crime, and even tougher on criminals.

Well, as you would imagine our GAMEOVER Task Force Agents were able to locate Gildea and quickly apprehended him at the Circle K Gas Station in Merritt Island.

Now, here’s a shocker…while Agents were searching Gildea before transporting him to his very spacious accommodations at “Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge,” they located a large bag, in his crotch, which ended up being just over 14 grams of Fentanyl.

And my favorite part…after being found in possession of 14 grams of fentanyl, Gildea actually asked if was he getting charged with the drugs that were found in HIS crotch.

Yes Gildea you are getting charged with the drugs as this is not Chicago or New York where law and order don’t exist, this is Brevard County and we lock drug dealers up where they belong.

Gildea was subsequently booked into the Brevard County Jail on a “No Bond” status for Trafficking in Fentanyl, where he will stay until his private transportation arrives to take him back to Illinois.

The good news is that before he checks out of our facility he will get his “I Messed Around and Found Out” T-Shirt to show his old cellmates.

As always I want to thank the US Marshals Service and their partnership with our GAMEOVER Task Force for putting this dirtbag back where he belongs and taking more of this deadly poison off of our streets.
