BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School athletic director Ted Kimmey has been named head football coach for the Minutemen.
Kimmey will remain the athletic director as well after accepting that position back in July.
The former Scorpion head coach resigned as the Scorp’s head coach in January of 2022 and joined Coach Nate Hooks’ staff at MCC in March.
Kimmey formerly coached the Scorps for five seasons, posting a 36-16 record, culminating with reaching the regional finals in his last season as head coach.
Former Cocoa Beach head football Coach Ben Waldrop stepped down in early December. Waldrop recently accepted a defensive coordinator position for the Astronaut War Eagles.
