Cocoa Beach Police named Wes Mullins as the Department’s new Interim Police Chief on Monday. Mullins began his career with Cocoa Beach Police Department in 2000 and has since earned a master’s degree in public administration, and is now in the process of earning a doctorate in criminal justice. BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Cocoa Beach Police named Wes Mullins as the Department’s new Interim Police Chief on Monday.

“Chief Mullins is a shining example of determination and professionalism,” said a Cocoa Beach Police spokesperson.

Mullins began his career with Cocoa Beach Police Department in 2000 and has since earned a master’s degree in public administration, and is now in the process of earning a doctorate in criminal justice.

“It’s a new chapter for us all and we couldn’t be more excited, the Cocoa Beach Police Department’s future looks brighter than ever,” said a Cocoa Beach Police spokesperson.

The Cocoa Beach Police Department consists of more than 90 members, including 43 sworn police officers, telecommunicators, beach rangers, parking enforcement specialists, code enforcement officers, and civilian personnel – and serves approximately 11,000 full-time residents and over two million visitors annually.
