Cocoa, the No. 1 team in Class 2, is now 5-1 on the season and is expected to appeal the ejection
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa head football coach Ryan Schneider was ejected in Friday’s third quarter of the Tigers game against Seminole.
During Friday’s matchup, the game had its fair share of penalties, leading to a two-hour first half to get things started. Entering the third quarter, Cocoa had a slim 7-3 lead over Seminole.
Game officials ejected Schneider with 8:51 left in the third quarter for what officials said was inappropriate language.
Tiger defensive coordinator Matt Diesel acted as head coach for the remainder of the game. Following Coach Schneider’s ejection, the team ripped off 21 unanswered points to win the game 28-3.
According to the FHSAA’s penalties regarding ejections, coaches can face a suspension as well as fines against the School.
