Titans ranked 13th in latest NJCAA Division I National Poll
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team will travel to Indian River State College on Saturday for a Citrus Conference game.
The Titans are ranked 13th in the latest NJCAA Division I National Poll and are tied for first in the conference at 9-1.
They will face Indian River State College who has won two straight and are 5-5 in the conference heading into Saturday’s game.
Indian River State College is one of the highest-scoring teams in Region 8, averaging 99.6 points per game this season, and has five players averaging at least 10 points per game led by Mostapha El Moutaouakkil who comes into Saturday’s game averaging 26 points per game which is second in Region 8.
Teammate Mykol Sanchez is averaging 16 points per game while Jayshayne Woodard is scoring 14.5 points per game. Deng Majak is averaging 13.5 and Mason Brown is scoring 11.5 points per game.
Eastern Florida State College is averaging 85 points per game but is holding opponents to 60.8 points this season and won the first meeting at Titan Field House, 72-67.
The Titans have won 10 games in a row and have four players averaging at least 10 points per game led by sophomore Owen Aquino who is averaging 15.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game this season.
Teammates Matija Zuzic and Luca Colceag are both averaging 12 points while Andrija Bukumirovic is averaging 10 points per game.
