averaged 24 points, six rebounds and 3.5 assists last week
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball player Owen Aquino was named the Region 8 Men’s Basketball Division I Player of the Week on Tuesday.
Aquino averaged 24 points, six rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game as the Titans went 1-1 last week.
The sophomore forward scored 19 points against Santa Fe and then had 29 points against Indian River State College, which tied his season high.
It is the first time this season that Aquino has been named the player of the week and the second Titan to be named this season.
The Madrid, Spain native averaged six rebounds and 3.5 assists with a couple of blocks in the two games.
For the season, Aquino is averaging 15. 8 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game.
astern Florida State College will play Daytona State College Wednesday night at Titan Field House in a battle of the top two teams in the conference. Wednesday’s game will begin at 7:30 p.m.
