BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball player Amelia Hassett had a good weekend at the NJCAA Women’s All-Star Showcase at Clayton State in Georgia.

The sophomore forward from Albury New South Wales, Australia had a double-double in both games at the JUCO event that featured the top players in junior college.

Hassett finished Saturday’s game with 16 points and 13 rebounds and then in the final game of the tournament she had 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Hassett scored 8.9 points and 7.4 rebounds in 35 games as a freshman on the women’s basketball team that reached the Final Four of the NJCAA Division I National Championship Tournament.

Assistant coach Taylor Jones was one of the team coaches at the JUCO event, making her debut as a member of the Titans staff. Jones played for Eastern Florida State College in the 2018-19 season.
