TITANS IMOROVE TO 5-1 overall
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s soccer team picked up a Region 8 Conference win on the road Tuesday evening.
The fifth-ranked Titans picked up the 1-0 victory against Polk State College to improve to 1-0 in the conference and 5-1 overall.
Sophomore Mia Lewis scored 22 minutes into the contest on a pass from Kamara Simmons and the defense made it stand up, recording the shutout.
It was Lewis’ third goal of the season and it was the first assist for Simmons.
Eastern Florida State College will be back at Orlando Health Stadium on Thursday evening against No. 11 Monroe College at 6 p.m.
Thursday’s game will be broadcast live on WEFS-TV which is channel 9 or 455 on Spectrum, 68 on DirecTV, 30 on Dish and 68 on AT&T Uverse. Admission to games at Orlando Health Stadium is free.
