Eastern Florida State Soccer Concludes Regular Season with 4-1 Win on Sophomore Night

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team finished the regular season with a win on Sophomore Night at Orlando Health Stadium Monday night.

The Titans honored the eight sophomores at halftime and then went out and scored four straight goals in the second half to post the 4-1 victory to improve to 13-1 on the season.

Eastern Florida State College has now won nine straight as the third-ranked Titans came back after trailing 1-0 on a nice free kick in the first half. Ryuta Morioka hit a nice strike that found the net to tie things up with 37 minutes remaining in the contest.

A penalty in the box set up the Titan’s second goal as sophomore Jack Nelson stepped up and scored on the penalty kick.

Eight minutes later Nelson scored his second of the game to make it 3-1.

The forward now has XX goals on the season.

Marcellus McCoy wrapped up the scoring for the Titans with 12:30 left in the contest. It was the defender’s first goal of the season.

Eastern Florida State College will host Southern Union State College at 1 p.m. Saturday at Orlando Health Stadium in the Southeast District play-in game.
