Eastern Florida State Women’s Basketball Begins Conference Season at Daytona State College

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team will open the Citrus Conference schedule Saturday on the road.

The No. 22 ranked Titans will travel to Daytona State College to play the Falcons at 2 p.m. in the conference opener for both teams.

“Daytona is playing well, (head coach) Tron (Griffin) has them playing at a high level,” Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball coach MJ Baker said. “It is going to be competitive, especially playing on the road. It is always tough to play at Daytona.”

Eastern Florida State College comes into the conference season 4-3 and has won three in a row.

The Titans are led by sophomore Amelia Hassett who is averaging 17.8 points and 13.8 rebounds per game this season. Teammate Jaidyn Koerdt is averaging 13 points per game while Kristiana Kulackovska is averaging 8.3 points.

Daytona State College comes into Saturday’s game 5-1 and has won four straight.

The Falcons have four players averaging at least 10 points per game, led by Kendal Moxey who is averaging 13.7 points and 9.3 rebounds while Bella Weary is averaging 12.2 points.

Saturday afternoon’s game will be shown live online, click here to watch. Tickets to the game can be purchased here for $5. Fans will need to buy tickets in advance.

The Titans will be back at Titan Field House Monday in a Citrus Conference game against Santa Fe College at 5:30 p.m.
