BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball player Amelia Hassett is the Region 8 Division I Player of the Week.
The sophomore forward had 20 points and 17 rebounds as well as three steals as the Titans defeated Gulf Coast State College, who was No. 2 and unbeaten in the national poll, last Friday.
Hassett has recorded three double-doubles in the first five games this season and is averaging 16 points and 14 rebounds per game this season.
The Titans, who are ranked 23rd in the national poll, will be home for the first time this season on Tuesday, November 28 against Edward Waters JV at 6 p.m. Admission is free to games at Titan Field House.
