BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team is ranked No. 3 in the preseason NJCAA Division I poll released on Monday.
The women’s basketball team finished last season 28-1 and ranked No. 2 after falling in the semifinals of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
Defending national champion Northwest Florida State College is No. 1 in the poll with Trinity Valley Community College second and the College of Southern Idaho fourth. New Mexico Junior College rounds out the top five.
Gulf Coast State College comes in No. 6 in the poll.
Eastern Florida State College is No. 2 in the Region 8 preseason coaches poll and will open the season on Friday, Nov. 3 against Southern Crescent Technical College in Jacksonville. They will play Pensacola State College in Jacksonville on Nov. 4.
