BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team will jump back into Citrus Conference games on Saturday afternoon.

The No. 22 ranked Titans will host Florida Southwestern in a battle of Citrus Conference teams at 2 p.m. at Titan Field House.

Eastern Florida State College is tied for first place in the conference standings at 4-0 and is 9-3 overall and has won eight straight games. The Titans are led by Amelia Hassett who is leading Region 8 in both points per game and rebounds per game.

The sophomore is averaging 19.6 points and 14.5 rebounds per game this season. Teammate Jaidyn Koerdt is averaging 11.7 points per game while Kristiana Kulackovska is averaging 10.5 points.

Florida Southwestern comes into the matchup 3-1 in the conference and is coming off a win against Hillsborough Community College earlier this week.

The Bucs are led by Makenna Shaffer who is averaging 13.7 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. The freshman is coming off an 18 point, 16-rebound performance against Hillsborough. Teammates Ashley Lester (11.7 points) and Kiana Wilson (10.4) also average double digits.

Saturday’s game will tip off at 2 p.m. at Titan Field House and admission is free. The game will also be shown live online at the EFSC Titans YouTube page.
