EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Rockledge High’s Reagan Doyle Receives Appointment to U.S. Coast Guard

Doyle Will Begin Swab Summer in June 2023

WATCH: Reagan Doyle, a recent Rockledge High School graduate that has received an appointment to the United States Coast Guard Academy, and Richard Grimison, the Chair of the Education Committee of the Propeller Club of Port Canaveral, talk with the Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Reagan Doyle, a recent Rockledge High School graduate has received an appointment to the United States Coast Guard Academy.

Having grown up in Rockledge, Doyle was an outstanding multi-sport athlete at Rockledge High School.

When asked about her reaction upon receiving the news of the appointment, Doyle said her initial words were, “Oh my gosh, no way!” She continued, “I told my parents and then immediately called my teacher (Sarah Hardy).”

The Propeller Club of Port Canaveral was instrumental in helping Doyle secure the appointment.

Richard Grimison is the Chair of the Education Committee and is a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and has worked in U.S. flag merchant shipping before becoming a ship pilot.

He served in the Navy Reserve’s Merchant Marine program for 24 years ending as Cdr., USNR.
