Florida Tech Panthers Lacrosse Team Earns USILA Team Academic Honor

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Florida Tech men’s lacrosse team was recognized with the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Team All-Academic Award for their success in the classroom, as announced on Monday.

To be eligible for the Team All-Academic Award, teams must have a GPA of at least 3.00. The Panthers were one of just 21 teams in NCAA Division II to receive the award, completing the year with a team GPA of 3.201.

The success of the men’s lacrosse program in the classroom has not gone unnoticed, with Austin Engeler and JP Panchookian earning CSC Academic All-American status.

Riley Wagner and Elliott Yacu received CSC Academic All-District laurels.

Nine Panthers recorded a perfect 4.00 GPA during the 2023 spring semester.

Engeler was named the Outstanding Student of the Year for the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Engeler, along with Panchookian and Chandler Hake earned Distinguished Student Scholar recognition.
