BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Former Astronaut War Eagles Kario Oquendo and Jace Carter advanced to the second round of the NCAA National Tournament.
Oquendo and the Oregon Ducks cruised past South Carolina 87-73 in round one of the tournament.
The Titusville native attended Astronaut High School and was the 2019 Brevard County 5A Player of the Year and scored over 1,000 career points.
Jace Carter and the Texas A&M Aggies defeated Nebraska 98-83. Carter finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists in 28 minutes of action.
The former War Eagle finished his high school career with over 2,000 career points and the single-game scoring record at Astronaut with 45.
Oregon is set to face Creighton next and Texas A&M is set to No. 1 seed Houston in their upcoming matchup.
