BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Former Rockledge Raider and Coastal Carolina wide receiver Rian Black announced on Twitter his commitment to the University of Rhode Island out of the NCAA transfer portal.
The Brevard County native is a former 3-star recruit in the class of 2022.
Black released the following statement back in April in regard to his decision:
I would like to thank Coach Beck and Coach Chadwell for giving me an opportunity to be able to strive to be a better man on and off the field. Thank you to the many people who have helped me over this last year.
To my brothers in teal, keep striving for greatness. I have had so many great times in Conway, SC. But it’s time for the start of something new. With that being said I will be entering my name into the transfer portal.
