BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The 4th Annual Out of This World Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, April 6, at the Turtle Creek Golf Club. The tournament included 108 golfers on 27 teams in this space-themed tournament that raised approximately $20,000 for the local nonprofit, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren of Brevard County FL.

Since 1994, the mission of Grandparents Raising Grandchildren of Brevard County, FL, Inc. (GRG) has been to support relative caregivers throughout Brevard County in achieving safety, permanency, and well-being for their families through education, advocacy, and community collaboration.

Their vision is that one day all children will live in a safe and loving home with relatives that will help them to develop to their full potential. Living in a place you can call home and knowing that someone will always be there for you is something everyone needs, especially children.

In 2023, over 1,800 services were provided to seniors and at-risk children. Fundraising includes two golf tournaments each year, and thanks to generous donors, the proceeds fill a very big need. Every golfer wins a door prize, and each golfer receives a “Loaded Mug” which is GRG’s version of a golfer goody bag.
