Heritage Panthers hire former NFL and Canadian Football League running back Javian Hawkins as the team’s wide receiver coach.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Heritage Panthers hired former NFL and Canadian Football League running back Javian Hawkins as the team’s wide receiver coach.

Heritage enters their second year under Head Coach Mykel Benson, the Panthers had a historic year after finishing district champions with a 9-2 overall record.

The Panthers add a coach with a lot of success at the highest level of football. Back in 2021, he won a Super Bowl championship as a member of the Los Angeles Rams.

Hawkins is a Titusville native who graduated from Cocoa High School back in 2018. The former Lousiville Cardinal rushed for 1,525 yards — the most by a running back in Louisville history – and posted eight 100-yard rushing games in 2019.

At Cocoa High, he finished his prep career with the Tigers with more than 4,000 yards rushing, and more than 40 touchdowns, and led Cocoa to the Class 4A state championship.
