BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Who could disagree? As 2023 nears its tumultuous end, many of us could use a little Christmas. Luckily, the Indialantic Chamber Singers will provide that for us, in a holiday concert of rare beauty in two Brevard locations.

We Need a Little Christmas is filled with seasonal favorites and will be performed first on Sunday, December 10 at 3:00 PM at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, located at the base of the Melbourne Causeway at 106 North Riverside Drive in Indialantic.

Brevard’s premier choral ensemble will reprise the performance in a second concert on Friday, December 15 at 7:00 PM, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 300 Malabar Road SE in Palm Bay.

The group will perform a variety of best-loved songs of the season, including “White Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland,” “We Need A Little Christmas” and many more.

A collection of carol arrangements by John Rutter will include the opportunity for the audience to sing along with “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.”

Artistic Director Beth Green will conduct the Indialantic Chamber Singers, with piano accompaniment by Teresa Fleenor. Lending additional talent is ICS founder and Director Emeritus, David Vogeding, who will perform a four-hand duet with Fleenor, during “One December, Bright and Clear,” sung by the ensemble women.

Begun in 1999, the Indialantic Chamber Singers are known for their flawless rendition of both accompanied and cappella works, earning them the reputation as Brevard’s premier choral ensemble.

We Need a Little Christmas is free of charge, with a suggested donation of $10. Refreshments will follow the December 15 performance in Palm Bay.

For Indialantic Chamber Singers Artistic Director, Beth Green, each December concert is a chance to make Christmas come alive for the audience through excellent choral music.

“Some of the most beautiful music in history has been written to celebrate Christmas,” said Mrs. Green. “Our singers love adding to the beauty of the season by performing for the people of Brevard.”

The Indialantic Chamber Singers have performed several times in the nation’s capital at the invitation of the Washington National Cathedral.

The organization is supported entirely by patron donations.
