BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Titusville announced that  Jennifer Hill has been awarded the prestigious Saint George Award by The P.R.A.Y. Program, Scouts BSA, and The Episcopal Church.

The ceremony, held at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Titusville, Florida, on February 4, recognized Hill’s exceptional dedication and service to the Scouts BSA program and her contributions to the church community.

The Saint George Award of the Episcopal Church is a national recognition to acknowledge distinguished service by adults in the spiritual, physical, mental, and moral development of youth through service to the Church and through national youth agency programs like Scouts BSA.

Typically, less than a dozen are awarded each year nationwide in the Episcopal Church.

Hill’s unwavering dedication to her church and the scouting community exemplifies the spirit of this prestigious award.

She has been an active member of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church for over a decade, serving in various leadership roles such as Verger and as a member of the Vestry.

Additionally, she has played a pivotal role in the Cub Scouts Pack 370 as the Pack Committee Chairman for over five years, providing guidance and support to countless scouts and their families.

Throughout her tenure, Hill has gone above and beyond her responsibilities, demonstrating exceptional leadership and organizational skills.

She has led recruitment efforts, overseen re-registration and re-chartering operations, and spearheaded major renovation projects to enhance the scouting experience for all members.

Furthermore, Hill has been instrumental in the spiritual development of scouts, serving as a counselor for the P.R.A.Y. program and mentoring scouts through various religious emblem classes. Her dedication to instilling strong moral values in young scouts has left a lasting impact on the community.

In addition to her contributions to the scouting program, Hill has been actively involved in various outreach initiatives, including the annual ‘Scouting for Food’ drive, which has provided thousands of pounds of food to local food banks.

“Mrs. Jennifer Hill’s selfless dedication to the spiritual, physical, mental, and moral development of local youth is truly commendable,” said Father Robert Griffith, of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church.

“Her leadership and commitment to serving others embody the principles of the scouting movement and make her a deserving recipient of the Saint George Award.”

The Saint George Award nomination was blessed by Bishop Holcomb of the Central Florida Diocese of the Episcopal Church, further underscoring the significance of Mrs. Hill’s achievements.
