A board member for the Space Coast Health Centers and past president and current member of the north area NAACP, Davis is a devoted member of St. James AME Church in Titusville.

Other than coaching basketball, Davis has the unique hobby of breeding and raising African Cichlid fish.

I asked Davis why he chooses not to relax during his off time and what drives him to volunteer. He told me how important Galatians 6:9 and 6:10 are to him, “Let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. As we therefore have opportunity let us do good unto all men.” He went on to say, “This is what I try to live by.”

Brevard County needs more people like Jeff Davis, Jr. He truly is a “Community Hero.”
