BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on Monday that resulted in the death of a 69-year-old man from St. Joseph, Missouri.
The crash happened at 9:34 a.m. this morning on A1A and Wallace Avenue.
Authorities say the man was traveling in a 2020 Chevy Traverse heading north in the parking lot of Irene H. Canova Beach Park and may have suffered a medical episode as he pulled into a parking space and rear ended a parked van.
The man from Missouri was transported to Holmes Regional, where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver inside the parked van was not injured.
Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
