Margaret Keenan of Sharpes, FL passed away peacefully in Roanoke, VA on Monday, September 4th with her granddaughter, Erin, by her side. She moved from Sharpes, FL to Virginia 7 years ago to VA to be with her son, daughter in law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Margaret (Grandmom Marge) was born in New Jersey on May 16, 1924.
She married James Henry Keenan and lived in Puerto Rico and the Philippines with their son James (Jim) while he served in the Air Force before settling in Brevard County, FL for most of her adult life and raised their two sons.
Margaret and James worked for the Brevard County School System. Margaret had a very happy, fulfilling life and was at peace when she passed. She had many friends and family that always enjoyed being a part of her life and will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents, siblings, husband, James Keenan, and her two sons, James Keenan Sr and Patrick Keenan.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home and Park Monday, March 25, 2024 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
