THE SPACE COAST DAILY – FRIDAY NIGHT LOCKER ROOM TEAM IS BREVARD'S #1 SPORTS SOURCE

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Bulldogs class of 2024 offensive lineman James Hinds announced his commitment to play collegiate football at Northern Michigan University.

The 6-foot-3, 280-pound senior captain of the Melbourne Bulldogs football team released the following statement after making his college commitment”

‘irst off, I would like to thank God for the opportunity to continue playing this amazing sport at the collegiate level. I have been blessed to play with and against great competition in my four years at Melbourne High School.

I have battled adversity, heartbreak, love, and trials and tribulations that have made me the man I am today.

I have been told what was and was not possible for me, Yet I have proven MYSELF right over and over again, and will continue to do so until the sun sets on my time on the gridiron.

I am thankful for Brevard (THE 321) accepting and respecting a out of county kid like me and showing me so much support, especially the individuals and super fans of other schools who continue to support me and my dreams. I am thankful for my amazing family who have been by my side through my greatest successes and hardest failures.

I could not be in this position without my amazing coaches and administrators at Melbourne High School, they have supported and taught me so many Valuable Lessons and skills that will continue to help me the rest of my life. From my youth through the present I have consistently strived to be the best version of myself I can be.

I cannot wait to fulfill my destiny and continue dominance at the collegiate level. So without further delay I would like to publicly announce my commitment to NORTHERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY‼

Thankful for the staff at NMU for extending the opportunity to come home, I cannot wait to sign and become one of the next great WILDCATS
