Message from Sheriff Wayne Ivey
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Mess Around And Find Out like David Maske who thought it was a good idea to deal drugs and then was dumb enough to have drugs in Brevard County.
I swear folks, no matter how many times you warn people to not deal drugs and especially don’t do it in Brevard County, there is always someone like Maske who thinks they can get away with it.
Maske’s little playhouse came tumbling down last night though, when he was observed in a suspicious vehicle by Deputies Joseph Batch and Justin Nieves on SR 528 and then K-9 “Roscoe” said “ruh roh” when he alerted on the vehicle for the presence of narcotics.
Deputies subsequently located numerous items of drug paraphernalia, a loaded handgun, and approximately 3 grams of fentanyl while conducting the vehicle search. Batch, Nieves, and K-9 Deputy Andrew Johnson also located a large safe in the trunk of the vehicle which Maske immediately claimed ownership of but oddly enough denied having the combination to.
Let’s be honest, him saying he doesn’t know the combination to a safe he owns is about as believable as me saying I don’t know how to open my refrigerator!!
Well regardless, our Deputies got the safe open and inside discovered approximately 170 grams of a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine and also Maske’s Kentucky Driver’s License.
As you might imagine, Maske “Messed Around And Found Out” what happens to drug dealers in Brevard County as he was quickly cuffed and stuffed and transported to “Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge” where he was held on a “No Bond” status for Trafficking In Methamphetamine.
Another great job by Deputies Joseph Batch, Justin Nieves, Andrew Johnson, and K-9 Roscoe by getting this poison peddler off our streets and safely behind bars where he belongs.
