Dianna recently retired from the Brevard County Tax Collector Office
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Dianna Lynn (Gibbs) Oakland of Titusville, FL passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Born February 23, 1957, in DeKalb, Illinois, the daughter to the late Robert G. and Margaret A. (McNamara) Gibbs. Dianna recently retired from the Brevard County Tax Collector in Titusville, FL.
She enjoyed crafting, shopping, and soaking up the sun either by pool or beach; always “napping,” never sleeping. More than anything, she loved being a mother and Nana. Right until the very end, she stayed true to that sassy personality we all loved about her.
Dianna is already greatly missed by her daughters: Rachel (Fred) Schafer, of Titusville, FL; Megan (Stephen) Connors, also of Titusville, FL; grandchildren: Frederick, Camryn; sister Katherine (Jay) Floit of Sycamore, IL; brother John (Michele) Gibbs of Dallas, GA; brother-in-law Philip Cosgrove of DeKalb, IL; several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Other than her parents, Dianna was preceded in death by her sister; Darlene Cosgrove.
A celebration of Dianna’s life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville, FL at 10 AM. A reception/party will follow her service.
