BREVARD COUNTY • PORT ST. JOHN, FLORIDA – Kristopher “Kritter” Werda, 44, of Port St. John, Florida, passed away unexpectedly at home as the result of an accident while working on his truck on Aug. 31, 2023.
Kritter, working, imagine that…Kritter was a member of the Local 808 Ironworkers Union out of Orlando, Florida.
Kritter was born in Alpena, Michigan, on Oct. 24, 1979. Surviving are his mother, Lori (Rick) Roznowski, father Randy Werda, his wife Ashley Werda (Kuzenski), and his children McKenna and Bentley Werda.
Kritter leaves behind a huge family, including many aunts, uncles, and cousins and friends. Kritter was preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Werda.
Kritter enjoyed hunting, fishing, welding and working. He was an animal lover and rescued and rehabbed dogs.
Everyone who Kritter met became a friend, and he would give the shirt off of his back for anyone.
A celebration of life service will be held in Alpena for Kritter the afternoon of Dec. 2, 2023, at the Merchants Building, Alpena County Fairgrounds.
A Celebration of Life is being scheduled for his family and friends in Florida and will be posted at a later date.
Lou Manley has created a Go Fund Me page to assist the family of Kritter, who leaves behind his wife Ashley and two teenage children, Mckenna and Bentley.
