OBITUARY: Ramon Carlos McIntosh of Melbourne Passed Away Peacefully at Age 70

Ramon Carlos McIntosh, of Melbourne, Florida passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on September 20, 2023. After 20 years of service in the military Ramon worked with Johnson Controls and IAP Worldwide Services in Cape Canaveral, Florida until his retirement.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Ramon Carlos McIntosh, of Melbourne, Florida passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on September 20th, 2023.

Ramon was born on August 26th, 1953, to Noel and Maria McIntosh in Kingston, Jamaica. After Ramon graduated from high school in Kingston, he later graduated with a degree in Information Technology from Keiser College.

After 20 years of service in the military Ramon worked with Johnson Controls and IAP Worldwide Services in Cape Canaveral, Florida until his retirement.

In 1978 Ramon married his childhood sweetheart Gloria in London, England. Ramon and Gloria raised two children, Andrew and Sarah.

As a young man Ramon was an avid cyclist and participated as a member of the Jamaican Cycling Team to the 11th Central American and Caribbean Games held in Panama from February 28 to March 13, 1970.

Ramon enjoyed a wide variety of music, dancing, movies and operating his flight simulator. Known for his sense of humor, he loved spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Gloria, children Andrew and Sarah, brother Stephen McIntosh and wife Maria, sister Marcia Deschler, nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Services will be held at Beckman-Williamson, in Viera, Florida on September 29, 2023, at 12:00 noon with viewing from 11 a.m. Internment to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, Florida.
