BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – John Joseph Grillion, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2024, in California. He was born on May 2, 1974, in Rockledge, Florida to Roy and Jacqueline Grillion.
John (JJ) graduated from St. Teresa Catholic School, Titusville High School, Warner University, and Embry Riddle.
He is survived by his mother, Jacqueline Grillion of Titusville, Florida; wife, Liliana Grillion of Bucaramanga, Colombia; uncle, Michael Ilkenhons of Clermont, Florida; and aunt, Yvonne Mooney of the Villages, Florida.
John was the Engine and Components Senior Test Manager for Blue Origin at Edwards Air Force Base. This fulfilled his lifelong dream of being an aerospace engineer. An avid golfer who grew up on the Lacita Course in Florida, he enjoyed woodworking and was an animal lover. Those who knew him appreciated his quick wit and dry sense of humor.
His family and friends will deeply miss John. A memorial service will be held at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 203 Ojibway Ave., Titusville, FL 32780, at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of John Grillion to Best Friends, a sanctuary for homeless animals providing adoption and educational programs.
