Over 500 Bikers Attend 21st Annual Brevard Law Ride in Titusville

Message from Sheriff Wayne Ivey

The “Law Ride” event brings together Law Enforcement Officers and citizens from around the state of Florida in an annual Motorcycle Ride through the Kennedy Space Center to remember our fallen heroes, while also helping to raise funds for Children of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), the Police Hall of Fame, and the National Law Enforcement Memorial, that each year honors those killed the line of duty. BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I want to personally thank the over 500 motorcycle riders and their passengers who took part in today’s “21st Annual Brevard Law Ride” that started at the American Police Hall of Fame in Titusville.

This year’s ride was host to over 500 riders and their almost 100 passengers who each enjoyed great weather, a great escorted ride through the Kennedy Space Center, great food, great music, and of course, great fellowship while helping to raise approximately $20,000.00 for three amazing and heartfelt organizations!!

Today’s ride was in memory of Commander Ken Willis who passed away this past year after more than 30 years of service to our BCSO Reserve Unit!!

Ken was such a great man and friend, and I would like to personally thank everyone who attended today’s ride in his honor!!

Also a special shout out to Retired BCSO Sgt. Alan Rainey and his wife Debbie for their leadership in coordinating this annual event, all of our BCSO volunteers who make this event possible, our amazing sponsors, our Ag/Marine Unit for the great Bar-B-Q, our BCSO Honor Guard for presenting the colors, Chaplain Jon Nienhuis for our Invocation, and of course, the BCSO Motor Unit and the Motor Units from our surrounding partner agencies who made sure everyone was safe during today’s ride!!

And yes, in case you were wondering, “Junny” had his own side car and as usual, “I’m his chauffeur!!
