During his tenure with the department, he has served as an Emergency Vehicle Operations Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Field Training Officer, Uniform Services Division Corporal, Major Case Detective, Major Case Corporal/Detective, and Patrol Sergeant. BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police Department announced the promotion of Lewis Jones to the rank of Lieutenant.

Lieutenant Jones has served his community for 20 years.

During his tenure with the department, he has served as an Emergency Vehicle Operations Instructor, Firearms Instructor, Field Training Officer, Uniform Services Division Corporal, Major Case Detective, Major Case Corporal/Detective, and Patrol Sergeant.

With his promotion, he will be a Lieutenant within the Criminal Investigations Division, overseeing the Major Case Unit, Crime Suppression Unit, Special Investigations Unit, and Specialized Task Force Officers.
