Palm Bay Police Seeking 23-Year-Old Armando Martinez, Accused of Hit-and-Run Crash With Motorcyclist in January

Palm Bay Police officials have identified 23-year-old Armando Martinez as the driver in a hit-and-run crash that took place in January. Through leads generated by the community and investigative efforts by Palm Bay police officers, the driver was identified as 23-year-old Armando Martinez.

Palm Bay police urge anyone who may know Martinez’s whereabouts to contact investigators at 321-952-3456 (select option 0) or Crimeline at 800-423-8477 to remain anonymous.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police officials have identified 23-year-old Armando Martinez as the driver in a hit-and-run crash that took place in January.

On January 28, Palm Bay Police officers responded to the intersection of Eldron Boulevard SE and Collins Street SE for a hit-and-run involving an injured motorcyclist,” said Palm Bay Police Lt. Virginia Kilmer.

Through leads generated by the community and investigative efforts by Palm Bay police officers, the driver was identified as 23-year-old Armando Martinez.

“We urge anyone who has information as to the whereabouts of Armando Martinez to please contact the Palm Bay Police Department at 321-952-3456, option 0, or submit a Crimline tip at 1-800-423-TIPS,” said Lt. Kilmer.

According to Lt. Kilmer, a white Ford truck was seen running over the motorcyclist who was waiting to make a turn at the stop sign and the driver then fled the scene.

“Surveillance footage was obtained, however, officers were unable to identify the driver at the time,” said Lt. Kilmer.

After Martinez was identified as the driver, an arrest warrant was issued for the charges of Leaving the Scene of a Crash with injuries, Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Property Damage, and Driving While License Suspended.
