Pedestrian in Brevard County Dies After Being Struck by Two Semi-Trucks on I-95 Near Melbourne

Florida Highway Patrol has responded to the scene of a fatal crash involving a pedestrian and two semi-trucks that occurred Monday morning.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol has responded to the scene of a fatal crash involving a pedestrian and two semi-trucks that occurred Monday morning.

The crash occurred around 7:58 a.m. when a vehicle collided with a pedestrian in the northbound lanes of I-95 in the area of mile marker 90 in Melbourne.

The crash involves a (2023 Semi-truck with trailer) and (2020 Semi-truck with trailer).

Preliminary evidences shows both vehicles were traveling northbound on I-95 when a pedestrian entered the northbound lanes in their direct path.

As a result, both vehicles struck pedestrian. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the first semi is identified as a 44-year-old man from Jacksonville and the second semi driver is identified as a 50-year-old man from Port Saint Lucie. Both men were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
