BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police responded to the scene of a fatal crash involving a pedestrian that happened Tuesday in the area of Wickham Road and Weston Drive.
Police identified the pedestrian as a 52-year-old woman.
When officers arrived, they discovered the pedestrian had sustained life-threatening injuries from the crash.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital by Brevard County Fire Rescue, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries
sustained in the crash.
Initial investigation revealed the Ford pickup was traveling southbound on Wickham Road and struck the pedestrian crossing Wickham Road eastbound.
It is unknown if alcohol/drugs were a factor in this crash at this time.
The crash is still under investigation.
