Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Palm Bay Near Babcock Street and San Soving Street: Police Report

Palm Bay Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened on Monday near Babcock St. and San Soving St. in Palm Bay.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened on Monday near Babcock St. and San Soving St. in Palm Bay.

The investigation began around 9:50 p.,. when the Palm Bay Police Department received 911 calls about a person who may have been hit by a vehicle in the area of Babcock St. and San Soving St. and was lying on the roadway.

When officers arrived, they found a woman on the roadway, later identified as 66-years-old Darlene Stanley, who was pronounced dead on scene.

“At this point, the accident is being investigated as a possible hit-and-run,” said Lt. Mike Roberts of the Palm Bay Police Department.

“The Palm Bay Police Department is asking for anyone who may have witnessed this accident to please call 321-952-3456 ext. 1156.”
