Jeffrey Butler named Chief Officer of the Year

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue hosted its Annual Awards Ceremony recognizing the outstanding efforts of their personnel for 2022.

Below are the members who were recognized during Friday night’s event:

■ Volunteer Firefighter of the Year Zachary Berg

■ Civilian of the Year Ebonie Williams

■ Lifeguard of the Year Shiloh Dragon

■ Inspector of the Year Brian Hill

■ Dispatcher of the Year Stephanie Kelley

■ Recruit of the Year Christopher Brown-Corella

■ Paramedic of the Year Jacob Marple

■ Firefighter of the Year Faust Higgins

■ Instructor of the Year Justin Holmes

■ Company Officer of the Year James Curt Parker

■ Chief Officer of the Year Jeffrey Butler

Numerous awards were also presented for Unit Citations, Commendable Service, and Meritorious Service.

Also recognized were personnel from the City of Cocoa Fire and Rockledge Fire Departments.

“Special thank you to our guest speaker, Retired Lieutenant Colonel Tim Thomas. Special thanks to Space Coast Health Foundation, Center for Collaboration Rockledge and Lowe’s Rockledge, and Cocoa Auto Salvage,” said a Brevard County Fire Rescue spokesperson.
