PUBLIC SERVICE SPOTLIGHT: Palm Bay Police Corporal Nicole Caroffino Promoted to Sergeant

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police Department recognized Nicole Caroffino on her recent promotion to the rank of Sergeant.

Sergeant Caroffino began her service in the United States Army. After serving her country, she decided to serve her community as a Law Enforcement Officer for the last 19 years.

Most recently, she served as a Corporal in the Palm Bay Police Department Special Victim’s Unit. In addition to various supervisor responsibilities, she was responsible for the investigations relating to Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Missing and Endangered Children, and Child Death Investigations.

In the digital age of today, she worked with the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which closely investigates Child Cyber Crimes and Child Exploitation. Additionally, she serves as the agency’s lead Digital Forensics Examiner.

With her new promotion, she will transfer to the Uniform Services Division, where she will be responsible for a shift of road patrol officers.
