Rockledge Defeats Canaveral Groves 10-7 in Florida District 22 Little League All-Star Tournament Action

The Florida District 22 Little League 8-10 Baseball division concluded on Saturday. Rockledge Little League defeated Canaveral Groves 10-7. With their 4-0 record, Indian River City Little League will represent Florida District 22 at the Section 3 Tournament for 8-10 Baseball on Saturday, July 1st, at Rockledge’s McLarty Park

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Florida District 22 Little League 8-10 Baseball division concluded on Saturday. Rockledge Little League defeated Canaveral Groves 10-7.

Space Coast LL met Rockledge LL on Canaveral Groves field 2. For the Visitors of Space Coast, Bowen Wilson got on base and scored all 4 times at bat while Noah Hale, Walter Miracle, and Christian Duff each added a run.

However, it was not enough as Rockledge’s Ryan Michaels scored all 3 times at bat, Henrik Sanford & Carter Stevens added 2 runs a piece, and Carter Skradski-Dreher, Landon Wiese, & Derrick Van Nest scored once each.

Ryan Michaels and Henrik Sanford combined on the mound for Rockledge’s 10-7 victory.

Over on Field #1, Indian River City LL (visitors) and Merritt Island LL (home) finished their game that was delayed by rain last night in the 4th inning. Merritt Island’s Tanner Shatto hit a triple in the 2nd but was left stranded on base.

For Indian River City, Easton Edwards pitched the complete game. Edwards, Drake Dehler, Ashton Perucca, Logan Dino, and Colton Hill scored twice each in their 10-0 shutout in 5 innings.

In their second game of the day, Indian River City was the visiting team against Port St. John LL. The Port St. John 8-1010 team’s Corbin Marmon scored twice on a walk and a triple, with Noah Smith, Ryan Orrick-Cole, & Bryce Knight each adding a run.

But, the All-stars from Indian River City would not be denied their 4th victory of the tournament as Ashton Perucca scored all 4 times at bat, Drake Dehler added 3 runs, Easton Edwards, Logan Dino, & Colton Hill scored a pair each, with Luke Mackiewicz, Kaleb Partridge, & Waylon Schell each scoring in IRC’s 16-5 win in 6 innings.

With their 4-0 record, Indian River City Little League will represent Florida District 22 at the Section 3 Tournament for 8-10 Baseball on Saturday, July 1st, at Rockledge’s McLarty Park.
