BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Weather Service is advising that a weak tropical wave will track toward southern Florida today which will bring the potential for scattered showers and storms this afternoon.

Any strong storms that develop will be capable of producing wind gusts up to 40-50mph, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.

There will be a moderate risk for rip currents along the beaches today.
