MARGARET RIVER, AUSTRALIA – Space Coast Sports Hall of Famers Kelly Slater and Caroline Marks are preparing to compete in the Western Australia Margaret River Pro in Margaret River, Australia.

Slater, 52, from Cocoa Beach, will be in the third heat for the opening round and will be competing against Jake Marshall (USA) and Ramzi Boukhiam (Morocco).

Marks, 22, from Melbourne Beach, will be the fourth heat and compete against Gabriela Bryan (Hawaii) and India Robinson (Australia).

The Western Australia Margaret River Pro, Stop No. 5 on the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour (CT), is OFF for the day due to small surf on offer in Margaret River. The WSL Commissioner’s Office has also called tomorrow off and, with swell expected to increase after the weekend, will likely call the competition back on early next week.

The next call will be shared on Sunday, April 14.

The Western Australia Margaret River Pro is the last event before the Mid-Season Cut, where the field will either continue on the 2024 CT season or be relegated to the Challenger Series, which will kick off later this month.
