BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – SpaceX is scheduled to launch a Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Euclid mission for the European Space Agency from Cape Canaveral on Saturday, July 1.

The launch is targeted for 11:12 a.m. ET.

The latest weather report shows conditions will 90-percent favorable, according to the 45th Weather Squadron.

Euclid is an astrophysics mission with a telescope and two scientific instruments designed to explore the evolution of the dark universe.

The mission will make a 3D-map of the universe by observing billions of galaxies out to 10 billion light-years.

Falcon 9’s first stage booster will land on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
