STATE BOUND! Edgewood Girl’s Soccer Clinch State Championship Berth with 2-1 Win Over NSU University High

No. 2 seed Edgewood Red Wolves have a 14-2-2 overall record

The Edgewood Red Wolves girl’s soccer team advanced to the FHSAA State Championship after defeating NSU University High School 2-1 in the Class 3A State Semifinals on Wednesday.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Edgewood Red Wolves girl’s soccer team advanced to the FHSAA State Championship after defeating NSU University High School 2-1 in the Class 3A State Semifinals on Wednesday.

On Saturday, the Red Wolves will travel to Lame Myrtle Sports Park in Auburndale for the State Championship as they face the Montverde Academy Eagles at 10:00 a.m.

The No. 2 seed Edgewood Red Wolves have a 14-2-2 overall record.

How they got here:

■ The Red Wolves cruised past Cardinal Newman 4-1 in the regional quarterfinals

■ In the regional semifinals Edgewood defeated St. John Paul II Academy 4-1

■ The Red Wolves then clinched the State Semifinals berth by defeating Kings Academy 2-0.

■ Most recently Edgewood defeated NSU University High 2-1 to clinch a State Championship berth/
