Titusville Pharmacist Arrested For Illegally Dealing Substances Oxycodone, Methadone

A Titusville pharmacist has been charged with illegally distributing oxycodone and methadone after federal agents with the DEA and Titusville Police raided the Itani Family Pharmacy on Tuesday.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A Titusville pharmacist has been charged with illegally distributing oxycodone and methadone after federal agents with the DEA and Titusville Police raided the Itani Family Pharmacy on Tuesday.

Authorities arrested 46-year-old Basil Samir Itani, owner of Itani Family Pharmacy in Titusville.

Documents show Itani was illegally dealing substances oxycodone and methadone at least six times between January and April.

A federal grand jury issued a six-count indictment on Itani on May 31. The indictment was filed in the U.S. Middle District Court in Orlando, showing Itani facing one count of selling, distributing or dispensing a controlled substance.

Itani has pleaded not guilty in court.

He has been released on the conditions that detail he undergo drug testing, surrender his passport and refrain from keeping firearms in his home.

His trial date has been set for August 7.
