Florida’s Space Coast is home to many sports venues and attractions
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The University of Tennessee and the University of Louisville will host a scrimmage on Saturday, February 17 at Cape Crossings Resort & Marina on Merritt Island from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
Space Coast waterways, including Cape Crossings Resort & Marina, Kiwanis Island Park and Canal 54, have become popular training sites over recent years for many university teams including Brown University, West Virginia University, MIT and Yale, among others.
“We are excited about hosting such high-quality rowing programs here on the Space Coast, where they are able to experience firsthand the beautiful weather, relaxing lifestyle, and natural beauty we’ve all grown so accustomed to,” said Space Coast Sports Commissioner, Terry Parks.
“In the future, we hope other programs choose to call the Space Coast “home” for their team training, as well.”
