Viera Hawks Advance to FHSAA State Championship for 3rd Straight Season After Defeating Niceville 2-1

The Viera Hawks soccer team clinched a third straight FHSAA Class 6A District 7 State Championship after upsetting no. 1 seed Niceville 2-1 in the State Semifinals on Wednesday.

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Viera Hawks soccer team clinched a third straight FHSAA Class 6A District 7 State Championship after upsetting no. 1 seed Niceville 2-1 in the State Semifinals on Wednesday. 

The defending state champion Viera Hawks will have a chance to become back-to-back state champions as they get ready to face South Broward on Saturday, March 2 at Spec Martin Stadium.

The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.

The No. 4 seed Viera Hawks have a 22-2 overall record.

How they got here:

■ The Hawks cruised past Lake Gibson 5-1 in the regional quarterfinals

■ In the regional semifinals Viera defeated Dwyer 4-0

■  Viera clinched a State Semifinals berth after defeating New Smyrna Beach 1-0

■ Most recently, the Hawks clinched their third State Championship after defeating Niceville 2-1
