Viera High School’s Aswath Rajesh Selected Top Finalists in Thermo Fisher Junior Innovator Challenge

Aswath Rajesh, a student at Viera High School who represented DeLaura Middle School in the Thermo Fisher Junior Innovator Challenge, has been selected as one of the top 30 finalists. These finalists were chosen from a pool of the top 300 Junior Innovators by a nationwide panel of scientists, engineers and educators.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Aswath Rajesh, a student at Viera High School who represented DeLaura Middle School in the Thermo Fisher Junior Innovator Challenge, has been selected as one of the top 30 finalists.

These finalists were chosen from a pool of the top 300 Junior Innovators by a nationwide panel of scientists, engineers and educators.

From October 28 to November 2, the finalists will attend the Thermo Fisher JIC Finals Week in Washington, D.C.

During this event, a panel of judges will evaluate their science research projects as well as their demonstration of collaboration and critical thinking skills during team challenges, emphasizing the importance and value of teamwork in STEM fields.

Furthermore, all finalists will receive a $500 cash prize and will have the opportunity to compete for prizes totaling over $100,000.
