ABOVE VIDEO: This past weekend members of our agency partnered with the Viera Walmart store and local Targets to hold our annual “Shop With A Cop” event that this year helped provide a great Christmas morning for over 200 kids who otherwise would not have had a gift to open on Christmas Day.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This past weekend members, of our agency partnered with the Viera Walmart store and local Targets to hold our annual “Shop With A Cop” event that this year helped provide a great Christmas morning for over 200 kids who otherwise would not have had a gift to open on Christmas Day.
During the “Shop With A Cop” event each child was paired with a Brevard County Deputy Sheriff or Corrections Deputy who walked with them through the store to help them pick out the various items on their Christmas Wish List.
The event that is funded through donations made to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Charity by various businesses and citizens, not only helps others to have an incredible Christmas, but also works to build positive relationships between our agency and community.
During the event our Deputies and many other members of our agency volunteer their time to shop with the kids, wrap gifts, and even offer refreshments.
I truly can’t thank our BCSO Team and community enough for their incredible support of this event each year!! I also want to extend a special thank you to our partners at Walmart in Viera and our local Target stores that worked so closely with us to make this event so special!!
