BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – I recently had the opportunity to talk with graduating senior, Lindsey Angermeier of the Edgewood Red Wolves. She was selected 2023 Breakfast of Champions Girls’ Athlete of the Year. Angermeier was a three-sport athlete in high school, having played lacrosse, volleyball, and basketball.

Angermeier was selected to the 2023 All-Cape Coast Conference Lacrosse Team. She scored a personal best 102 goals, which was a school record, and ranked 6th in the state of Florida and 17th in the nation. Her total of 129 points ranked 8th in Florida and 22nd in the nation.

Lindsey Angermeier, a graduating senior at Edgewood Jr/Sr High School, was selected 2023 Breakfast of Champions Girls’ Athlete of the Year. She was an outstanding three-sport athlete for the Red Wolves.

Angermeier also had a banner year on the basketball court. She was the first ever Edgewood girl named to the All-Cape Coast Conference Basketball Team. She led the Red Wolves in points, rebounds, blocks, deflections, steals, and assists.

She was one of the senior leaders on the volleyball court, having led the team in total blocks and was second in kills and hitting percentage.

I asked Angermeier if she had a favorite sport. She said, “I think I’m the best at lacrosse,” but there is something special about each sport that I really enjoy.

Lindsey Angermeier, a graduating senior at Edgewood Jr/Sr High School, was selected 2023 Breakfast of Champions Girls’ Athlete of the Year. She was an outstanding three-sport athlete for the Red Wolves, and will be attending Kennesaw State University in the fall to play lacrosse.
