Rockledge Resident is Quadruple Amputee, Christian Advocate and Motivational Speaker
WATCH: The book, “No More Bad Days” written by Gary Miracle with Robert Noland, was released October 10, 2023, on Amazon and select bookstores around the country. It chronicles the story of quadruple amputee Gary Miracle. Miracle is a Christian advocate and motivational speaker. The forward was written by Gary’s friend, Bart Millard, lead singer of the ultra-successful, Contemporary Christian recording group, MercyMe.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – “No More Bad Days” is now for sale! The book written by Gary Miracle with Robert Noland hit the bookshelves today, October 10, 2023, and what an exciting day it was! My broadcasting partner, Orville Susong, and I were invited by Gary to Barnes & Noble in Melbourne for the unveiling of his new book.
We arrived about 10:30 a.m. and followed Gary and his family as they made their way down the aisle, around the corner, and to the religion section, which holds “No More Bad Days” on the shelf. It was emotional and thrilling at the same time!
In December 2019 Gary entered the hospital and when he was finally released in late April 2020, he had lost all four limbs. The book follows his life’s journey, focusing primarily on days in the hospital and his time since being released.
As Gary put it, “This book is dedicated to everyone that has a bad day.”
Gary told us, “My prayer and my life since this happened to me was that somehow and someway, my story wouldn’t go in vain, that I can share my story and that it can encourage someone to know Christ for the first time or the 100th time.
He went on to say, “To see this lets me know that there is a portion that might not go in vain after all of this, and that somebody can get this book and hopefully through my story just be encouraged and fight a little harder.”
He continued, “It’s a crazy world out there, there’s a lot of horrible situations, but if Christ is inside of us, then it’s not going to be a fair fight because we know who wins in the end, and it’s Him.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Steve Wilson was born in DeRidder, Louisiana and grew up in both New Orleans and Macon, Georgia. He moved to Brevard County in 1984 and retired from local government as the Community Advocate/Assistant to the City Manager with the City of Rockledge in 2018.
Among the awards and accolades Steve has received over the years are 15 + year Rockledge Little League volunteer, Brevard Public School Jefferson Award Recipient, Rockledge High School Raider Booster Award 2001, 2006, City of Rockledge Employee of the Year 2006, Rockledge Kiwanian of the Year 2006-2007, City of Rockledge Quality Public Service Award 2008, 2012, 2017, Rockledge Kiwanis Citizen of the Year 2012-2013, Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame – Sportscasting 2015, Rockledge High School Leadership and Service Award 2016, Central Florida Humanitarian Award 2017, Space Coast Inspiration Award – 2018 and Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame – Lifetime Achievement – 2020.
Wilson is especially proud of is chairing two fundraisers in support of pediatric cancer research through the St. Baldrick’s Foundation in honor of Merritt Island resident Julie Spurlock that raised over $25,000.00.
He has been a partner, along with Orville Susong, for the past 24 years with the Friday Night Locker Room, a broadcasting team that covers and reports on a wide variety of local events that are of significance to the residents of the Space Coast and beyond. Their mission is to promote youth sports, support first responders and law enforcement personnel, and showcase community and charitable events that are produced by our nonprofit partners in central Florida.
The Friday Night Locker Room has awarded hundreds of sports achievement plaques to Brevard County student-athletes over the years. They have also awarded more than $18,000 in academic scholarships to Brevard County high school seniors.
